Youth baseball players can once again gain up-close and personal instruction from the pros this summer, this time with a couple of new “curveballs” thrown in. The York Revolution are offering a Three-Day Baseball Clinic, sponsored by WellSpan this coming Monday-Wednesday, July 26-28.
Anyone ages 8-12 may sign up, and all sessions last from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Sign your child up to learn the basics, or master skills including hitting, throwing, catching, fielding ground balls and fly balls, and baserunning on the same field where former major leaguers perform the same skills every night, and from players who have reached the game’s pinnacle in their careers. Young ballplayers will gain great instruction from Revolution players, but are guaranteed to also have a ton of fun. It’s an experience they won’t forget.
The Revs have added an all-new twist to learning how to slide this summer – campers should bring their bathing suits, and we’ll just leave it at that. Other highlights of the clinic include a variety of new, fun games that will be held on the final day to wrap up the clinic.
Those participating also receive a free ticket to the Revs home game this Wednesday, July 28.
Lunch is provided on the final day. A certified athletic trainer will also be on-hand, and water will be provided each day, although kids are welcome to bring their own Gatorade or any additional sports drink.
Campers should also bring a bat, glove, a hat, sunscreen, and their love of the game.
The cost of the Three-Day clinic, sponsored by WellSpan, is $150 to attend. Members of the York Revolution’s Rookie Revs Kids Club, however, pay just $110, saving $40 off the price. Admission fees are non-refundable.
To sign up, contact Steve Gold today at (717) 801-4463 or sgold@yorkrevolution.com.
