(September 14) — Friday night will be a big sports night in downtown York, with both the first-place York Revolution and the William Penn High School Bearcats football team battling it out. But despite Small Athletic Field parking being unavailable, Revolution officials assured baseball fans there will be plenty of free parking options for the team’s 6:30 p.m. game against the Lancaster Barnstormers.
Through agreements with York City and the Susquehanna Commerce Center, Revs fans will be able to park in the Philadelphia Street, Market Street, and King Street Garages for free after 5 p.m. on Friday and in the Susquehanna Commerce Center for free after 5:30 p.m. that afternoon.
In addition, the usual Revolution parking alternatives – Elks Club and Central Market Parking Deck – remain available.
“It’s going to a spectacular night at the ballpark, and we’re glad to able to accommodate our fans,” said Revolution President Eric Menzer. “This really is the most exciting part of our season, and the good news is there are plenty of options for those driving into downtown York to catch the game Friday night. Meanwhile, we’re in first place, aiming for the playoffs, and ready to welcome a huge crowd to help the Revs get there.”
