The York Revolution staff, coaches, and players join the York County business community and all of our neighbors and friends in strongly condemning the hateful language distributed in West Manchester recently after Regal Cinema’s screening of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. The racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic words of a handful of narrow-minded, insecure people have no place in the beautifully diverse community that so many of us are working so hard to create in York, and they will do nothing to undo the message so many Yorkers are working to share and spread: All are welcome.
To that end, we will continue to do all that we can to make PeoplesBank Park the most welcoming place in York. From Faith and Family Night to Pride Night to our upcoming Negro League Night, we will continue to offer opportunities for our neighbors and fellow citizens to spotlight the diversity of our great community and our common love for the ideals of this great nation – and, of course, our national pastime. To those who would spread antiquated, divisive sentiments, we suggest two words from our line of work: You’re out!
