(September 27) — York Revolution sponsors PeoplesBank, Rutter’s, and Isaac’s have brought back their ticket voucher giveaways to support the Revs drive for their third Atlantic League championship, team officials announced today.
Distribution to all area PeoplesBank financial centers and Rutter’s stores and the four York Isaac’s locations began this morning and will continue into tomorrow. Fans visiting a PeoplesBank location or making a purchase at Rutter’s or Isaac’s will receive vouchers good for Friday night’s Game Three or, if necessary, Saturday’s Game Four or Sunday’s Game Five.
The team also announced that the Susquehanna Commerce Center has donated the use of its parking facility to accommodate Revolution fans Friday night, when Small Athletic Field will host a William Penn High School Bearcats football game and York City parking lots and garages will welcome attendees of the annual Bike Night. The Susquehanna Commerce Center is located at 221 W. Philadelphia Street in York.
Rabbit Transit will operate two shuttle buses from the Commerce Center parking garage to PeoplesBank Park.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Friday night, and first pitch will be at 6:30 p.m.
The Revolution secured its third Freedom Division pennant Saturday night with a 5-1 win at Southern Maryland in Game Four of the ALPB Division Series. The Revs departed PeoplesBank Park this morning to travel to Central Islip, NY, where they’ll play tonight and tomorrow night against the Liberty Division Champion Long Island Ducks before returning to York for Friday’s Game Three.
Friday will also be “Black Magic” night, when the team will give the first 1,500 fans black Revolution T-shirts presented by WellSpan Sports Medicine. The T-shirt emulates the black alternate uniforms Revolution players have donned throughout most of the postseason.
Penn State York will present playoff rally towels to the first 1,500 fans as well.
