(August 16, 2026 – Central Islip, NY):  Nick Dunn tied a franchise record with a 50-game on-base streak but the York Revolution saw their road trip come to a difficult finish, dropping the finale to the Long Island Ducks, 5-1 on Sunday evening at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. York had won four straight including the first two games at Long Island to build a 6.5-game lead for first place but have followed with their second four-game skid of the year as the lead is cut down to 2.5 games in the North.

The Revs threatened early, loading the bases in the first but Ducks starter Clark Candiotti escaped with a ground out.

Long Island quickly led 1-0 as Wilmer Difo doubled down the third base line and came home on a pair of fly balls including a sac fly by Gavin Collins.

The Ducks used a big second inning to take control. Marcus Chiu blooped a leadoff single and Jorge Bonifacio homered for the third straight game, tucking a two-run shot to left that barely cleared into the Revs bullpen. Kole Kaler added an RBI single to put the Revs in a 4-0 hole.

Revs starter Brendan Yagesh (1-1) rebounded to work scoreless ball over the next three innings, totaling five frames. Shane Gray followed by firing two scoreless frames in relief, but the Revs were being held in check by Long Island’s combined effort on the mound.

Candiotti handled the first three innings before Leonardo Taveras (1-0) submitted a scoreless fourth and fifth in relief, working around a leadoff single by Jacob Teter in the fourth and a two-out double by Drew Ramirez in the fifth.

Garrett Crowley used a double play to erase another leadoff single by Teter in the sixth.

York finally got on the board in the seventh. Juan Gonzalez greeted righty Jose Cruz with a single to right for his first Revs hit and went first-to-third on Ramirez’ single to left center. Dunn drove a sac fly to center to bring home Gonzalez, breaking up the shutout.

Long Island tacked on an insurance run on a two-out single by Bonifacio who picked up his third RBI of the game in the eighth, and his eighth over the last three nights.

Sal Romano and Ramon Santos closed it out for the Ducks with scoreless innings in the eighth and ninth, respectively.

Notes: Dunn singled in the first, extending his on-base streak to 50 consecutive games, tying Carlos Franco (2022) for a Revs franchise record; it is the league’s longest streak this season and tied for third longest on record in league history. Dunn’s sac fly marked his 88th RBI of the year; he also has 88 runs scored, ranking fifth in the league in both categories. York has dropped four straight for the first time since June 17-20. The Revs are on a league-record scoring pace at 7.7 runs per game but have been held to one run in back-to-back games for the first time this season. York finishes the season series 3-6 at Fairfield Properties Ballpark. The Revs fall to 62-39 overall, 27-11 in the second half.

Next: The Revs return home for a weeklong homestand beginning with Monday’s continuation of a suspended game from August 2 vs Lexington with the game tied at 12-12 in the top of the 10th inning. The game resumes at 12 p.m. and gates open at 11:45 a.m. with free admission.
