(August 21, 2026 – York, Pa.): The York Revolution pulled off their biggest come-from-behind victory since 2021, rallying to win their fourth in-a-row over the High Point Rockers, 10-6 in front of 4,252 fans at WellSpan Park on Saturday night. The Revs (66-40, 31-12) maintain their four-game lead for first place with 20 to play in the regular season while becoming the fifth franchise in Atlantic League history to reach 1,300 victories.
Drew Ramirez went 4-for-4 with a triple and two doubles and made a pair of great plays at shortstop to help key the comeback. The Revs’ bullpen also played a starring role with four innings of scoreless ball as the Revs scored the final 10 runs unanswered.
High Point jumped ahead with a two-out rally in the third against Revs starter Rhett Kouba who breezed through his first two innings and set down eight of his first nine batters. A disputed wild pitch that was argued to have been a hit batsman brought home the first run, and after loading the bases, the Rockers received a two-run bloop single by Colin Davis and a line drive three-run homer to right by Ryan McCarthy as the inning exploded with the visitors grabbing a 6-0 lead.
York responded as Mike Rosario hustled out an infield hit and scored on Ramirez’ triple down the right field line. Ramirez sprinted home on a sac fly to shallow right by Austin Bates, his league-leading 11th, as York was on the board down 6-2.
Kouba finished his outing with scoreless innings in the fourth and fifth, helped along by Ramirez’ defense. After the rookie shortstop made a great diving stop on Luke Napleton’s fielder’s choice grounder in the fourth, he made a spectacular leaping grab on McCarthy’s liner up the middle and dove to second, doubling off Davis to end the fifth.
The Revs’ comeback was in full force with help of a break with two outs in the fifth as McCarthy lost sight of Jacob Teter’s fly ball to right resulting in a double and his 99th RBI of the season. That kept the inning alive for Nick Dunn who drove an RBI double off the Arch Nemesis in left, and Jackson Ross brought the Revs within a run with a base hit up the middle, plating Dunn to trim the deficit to 6-5.
Ramirez ignited the go-ahead rally in the sixth with a first pitch double to right against starter Matt Colucci. After advancing to third on Bates’ grounder, Ramirez scored the tying run when Tomo Otosaka greeted reliever Brayden Matthews (2-4) with a broken bat infield single to third. With runners at the corners after Shed Long Jr.’s infield single, Brian Rey ripped the go-ahead single into left for his 103rd RBI of the year, giving the Revs a 7-6 lead. Dunn took a bases loaded walk and Ross added a sac fly to center as the Revs seized a 9-6 lead with a four-run frame.
Dunn notched his third RBI of the night and 99th of the season with a single to center for an insurance run in the eighth.
Shane Gray (10-3) earned the win in relief, his league-leading 10th victory of the year while adding to his Revs franchise record for a relief pitcher as he becomes the Revs’ first 10-game winner since 2024.
Ryan Shreve, Tyler Thornton, and Cam Robinson all protected the lead with scoreless frames to close out the win.
Notes: Prior to Friday night, the Revs’ biggest comeback win the past five years was from down five runs; the six-run comeback occurs two nights after tying a previous season-best with a four-run comeback. The Revs join Long Island, Somerset, Lancaster, and Bridgeport as ALPB franchises with 1,300 wins. The Revs improve to 39-16 at home, 21-5 since June 21. The Revs reached double figures for the third consecutive game and league-record 34th time this year. They have tallied at least 15 hits in three consecutive games after totaling 16 in Friday’s contest. York’s bullpen has gone at least four scoreless innings in two of the last three games as they own a 2.66 ERA over the last 12 contests; that unit has allowed just five hits in 12.1 innings the last three games after yielding only two hits Friday night. The Revs have won five straight in the season series against the Rockers, leading 7-3 overall; the streak ties the longest in series history (2023). Thornton struck out two in a scoreless eighth as he has five holds and 11 strikeouts in five scoreless innings over his last five appearances. Otosaka scored twice giving him 199 runs scored in his Revs career, tied for seventh most all-time. Rey’s 103 RBI are four shy of a Revs record and rank third all-time. Teter and Dunn are tied for fifth all-time with 99 as the trio looks to become the first three teammates in league history to all record 100 RBI. Ramirez’ four-hit game is the first of his career.
