(March 15) — The defending Atlantic League Champion York Revolution announced today plans for its 2018 Fan Fest, which will be held Saturday, April 21, at PeoplesBank Park in downtown York.

Admission to the daylong celebration of baseball’s return will be $5 per person, free for full-season ticket holders, and $3 for mini plan ticket holders. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, March 21.

The team will again begin the day by welcoming would-be national anthem singers, who will audition from 10 to 11 a.m. that morning. Those interested in auditioning must sign up in advance by emailing Revs staffer Sarah Dailey at [email protected]. The first 30 pre-registered singers will receive a complimentary ticket to Fan Fest.

Gates will open to the public at 10:30 a.m., and PeoplesBank Park will host a special game between York and Hanover Little League teams at 10:45 a.m.

At 12:30 p.m., fans will take part in a variety of games and activities on the field, and Revolution players and coaches will be available for autographs, photos, selfies, and more before warming up for a 2 p.m. exhibition game against players from the Susquehanna and Central Leagues.

After the game, the first 1,000 fans will receive a free Revs Time yard sign presented by Shipley Energy. Homeowners who post pictures of their signs on display on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #RevsTime will be entered to win a free year of electricity from Shipley Energy.

“Baseball officially starts on opening day, but for fans – including us on the staff – the season really kicks off at Fan Fest,” said Revolution President Eric Menzer. “We are thrilled to be that much closer to defending our title and welcoming back the best fans in professional baseball. We know they are as hungry as we are for baseball, so we’ve packed a day full of baseball fun into this year’s event.”

Speaking of hunger, the ballpark’s concessions stands will be open for food sales, including new menu items like the White Castle hamburgers that will be available at the centerfield concession stand this season.
