League’s top run producer caps off historic season with ALPB’s top honor
(October 1, 2026 – York, Pa.):
York Revolution first baseman Jacob Teter has been voted Atlantic League Player of the Year, it was announced today. The lefty slugger caps off his historic 2026 season by earning the league’s top honor bestowed to a position player, becoming the fourth in Revs history to win the award.
Teter batted .340 with 29 home runs and 127 RBI, starting all 125 games. He added 38 doubles and 118 runs scored.
The 27-year-old finished the season ranked second in the Atlantic League in batting, fifth in homers, first in RBI, first in OPS (1.024), fourth in on-base percentage (.427), third in slugging (.597), second in hits (168), tied for second in doubles, third in runs, and first in total bases (295).
Teter’s totals placed him near the top of the Revs’ franchise single season lists, landing fifth all-time in batting, fifth in homers, first in RBI, fifth in slugging, fourth in hits, third in runs, and second in total bases.
It has been a week full of awards for Teter as he was selected to the Drake All-Defensive Team as the league’s top defensive first baseman on Tuesday, and was one of three Revs named to the Atlantic League’s Postseason All-Star Team on Wednesday. It all adds to a lengthy list of honors collected by Teter who was selected an Atlantic League Mid-Season All-Star, a league-best three-time ALPB Player of the Week, the Revs’ co-Player of the Year, and the Revs’ Corey Thurman Community Player of the Year.
“Jacob had an unbelievable year,” remarked Revs manager Rick Forney. “The homers, the doubles, the runs batted in, and he played phenomenal defense for us. He showed up to the post every day and played nearly every inning for us defensively. Just an incredible year all the way around.”
It was one of the greatest seasons in Atlantic League history as Teter’s 127 RBI rank second all-time, two shy of the all-time record set in 2000. He became the fifth player in Revs history to lead the league in RBI and not only did he obliterate the franchise’s all-time mark for overall RBI in a season, but also for RBI at WellSpan Park with a whopping 89 runs batted in over his 62 home games.
Among his season highlights were a franchise record for RBI in a month with 36 in July, including a seven-RBI game on July 1 vs Staten Island and a record 18 RBI over a six-game span en route to his first ALPB Player of the Week selection to start that month. He repeated as Player of the Week over each of the final two weeks of the season including a five-homer performance on the final six-game homestand and finished the year on a season-best 15-game hitting streak while capping off his record campaign with 23 RBI in 12 games in September.
Teter came to York for his sixth pro season. The Melbourne, FL native was a 13th round draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles out of Florida Southern College and spent three seasons in the Orioles farm system where he reached Double-A Bowie before a stint in the Houston Astros organization. He was the American Association Player of the Year in 2024 with Chicago when he led that circuit in RBI.
Teter joins Scott Grimes (2010), Alonzo Harris (2017), and Telvin Nash (2019) as Revs to win Atlantic League Player of the Year honors.
