(September 4, 2026 – York, Pa.): Brendan Yagesh spun six scoreless innings and Jacob Teter homered twice and drove in six as the York Revolution wiped off the residue from the night before, blowing out the Long Island Ducks, 10-1 on Friday night at WellSpan Park. The Revs (73-45, 38-17) increase their lead back to two games in the North Division with eight to play in the second half as they own a magic number of seven.
Teter opened the scoring in the second, annihilating his 25th home run of the season on a rocket to right as the Revs set a new Atlantic League single season record with their 885th run scored.
Leading 1-0 in the third, Nick Dunn kept the inning alive with a two-out single off the right field fence and Brian Rey ripped his own base hit to center. That set the stage for Teter who blasted his second homer of the night, a three-run shot to right center as the lead jumped to 4-0 on his 26th long ball.
Yagesh (2-1) cruised through five scoreless innings to earn his second pro win. The rookie lefty allowed just four hits and struck out five without a walk, ending his outing when Austin Bates nailed Alsander Womack attempting to steal for the final out of the fifth.
Jordan Geber and Ryan Shreve each worked scoreless innings out of the bullpen before the Revs blew the game open in the seventh.
Bates ignited a six-run rally with a one-out single to left, chasing Ducks starter Michael Dominguez (6-5) who was attempting to achieve extra length to aid a taxed bullpen after Thursday’s starter Brian Moran was ejected early in the game for using an illegal substance on his glove.
Southpaw Garrett Crowley was summoned and victimized to the tune of five runs in just a third of an inning. Tomo Otosaka doubled to left and Dunn walked to load the bases before Rey’s infield single brought home Bates to make it 5-0. After narrowly missing a third homer on a foul ball the inning before, Teter came close again, hammering a two-run double off the right field fence to make it 7-0 as his six RBI came within one of a season-high. Three more runs scored on a pair of wild pitches and a passed ball as the lead reached double figures.
Tyler Thornton retired the side in order in the eighth and Brendan Collins entered in the ninth in search of the shutout. Three walks loaded the bases but Collins quickly escaped with a double play and a game-ending ground out, allowing just one run in the 10-1 drubbing.
Notes: Yagesh has not allowed an earned run in nine innings over his last two outings. Teter posted his third multi-homer game of the year and now has 116 RBI, one behind Rey (117) for the team lead and the new all-time franchise record as both have obliterated the previous benchmark of 107. Teter has a club record 88 RBI at home in just 60 games. Rey (2-for-5) ties Isaias Tejeda (2019) for second in Revs history with 169 hits, three shy of James Shanks’ record 172 set in 2010. Dunn (2-for-4) is now on an 11-game hitting streak and scored twice, giving him 111 runs to match his 111 RBI. Rey scored twice and now has 96 runs scored as the Revs are on the cusp of having four 100-run scorers in the lineup, having already become the first team in Atlantic League history with three. York improves to 7-9 against Long Island this season and 6-7 in the second half, needing to win the final two meetings to claim the second half tiebreaker (if needed). The league’s single-season runs scored record now stands at 894 as the Revs are on the brink of becoming the league’s first 900-run offense. The win is Rick Forney’s 298th in four seasons as Revs manager.
