Current and former Revs continue to make headlines in both ALPB and MLB

York Revolution first baseman Jacob Teter has been named the Atlantic League’s Player of the Week, recognized for his play during the final week of the 2026 season. It marks his second consecutive week taking home the honor as he becomes the only player to win the award three times this season.
In alumni news, 2025 York Revolution Atlantic League champion LHP Brendan Cellucci made his Major League debut on Tuesday for the Toronto Blue Jays, retiring all five batters faced with three strikeouts at Rogers Centre against the Detroit Tigers. Cellucci threw 19 of his 25 pitchers for strikes and struck out each of his first two opposing batters, Max Clark and Spencer Torkelson while also striking out John Peck in his spectacular debut.
Cellucci had previously been called up on August 19 but had not appeared in a game. Just days after former Revs OF Rudy Martin Jr. (2024) made his big league debut with Toronto on Friday, his teammate Cellucci officially does the same. The duo gives the Revs 16 former players to have reached the big leagues (three in 2026 including LHP Nick Raquet with the Baltimore Orioles), eight of whom have made their debut following their time in York.
Teter, 27, had previously received ALPB Player of the Week awards on July 6 and Sept. 7. In his final six games of the season, Teter went 12-for-28 (.429) with two home runs, a league-best 10 RBI and eight runs scored as York won five of its six games last week. Teter recorded a pair of three-hit games and two two-hit games while also homering once each against the Staten Island FerryHawks and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He enjoyed a pair of four-RBI games for the week as he had an incredible 10 games of four or more RBI on the season.
For the year, Teter finished second in the ALPB with a .340 average (fifth highest in Revs history), led the league with 127 RBI (second most all-time and just two shy of the league record), and was third with 118 runs scored (third most in Revs history). He launched 29 home runs (fifth in Revs history) and his 295 total bases ranked fourth highest in league history and second most in franchise history.
Teter finished the season on a 15-game hitting streak during which he batted .468. He batted .500 (24-for-48) with seven home runs and 23 RBI in 12 games in September.
One of York’s 2026 co-Players of the Year, he was also the recipient of the Revs 2026 Corey Thurman Community Player of the Year award recognizing his off-field contributions.
