(January 2, 2020) — Central PA’s source for hit music is “WARM-ing up” FestivICE presented by York Traditions Bank!

Organizers of this month’s free community ice festival announced today that WARM 103.3 FM has been named the media sponsor of FestivICE, which will fill Cherry Lane in downtown York with ice sculptures, fun for the kids, food and beverages, and more. FestivICE will be held January 16 through 18.

WARM 103.3 will also sponsor FestivICE’s famous 40-foot ice slide and pump in the hottest hits during a live broadcast Saturday by program director and afternoon host Dave Russell.

“We’ve already told Dave he has to share the slide with the kids,” said Market Manager Matt Raback. “He and all of our team are excited to help make this great event happen for the York community and looking forward to seeing so many of our listeners in Cherry Lane.”

Organizers called the media sponsorship a major addition to the sixth iteration of the annual event.

“WARM 103.3 is an icon in this area,” said Adam Nugent, director of Eventive, the event planning and production division of the York Revolution that creates each FestivICE with the support of York Traditions Bank. “To have one of the area’s biggest stations supporting our event is a huge win, and we cannot wait to see how much bigger they help us make this annual party.”

Ice blocks for the sixth annual FestivICE remain on sale at www.festivice.com/icier and benefit CommunityAid, the non-profit organization that operates thrift stores throughout Central Pennsylvania and raises funds for distribution to local schools, churches, synagogues, temples, and nonprofit charitable organizations.

From January 16 to 18, DiMartino Ice Company’s chainsaw-wielding artists will once again turn more than 20,000 pounds of ice blocks into frosty pieces of art, including sculptures sponsored by local businesses and community supporters and the famous 40-foot ice slide sponsored by WARM 103.3.

“Support by great businesses like York Traditions Bank and WARM 103.3 makes all that fun free for the York community,” Nugent said.
