Hello, baseball fans and fellow Yorkers! Even for us at the York Revolution, an organization created entirely to create fun and entertainment, it’s a bit of a challenge these days to find the fun. Like the rest of the country, our thoughts and efforts are focused on the coronavirus pandemic and doing our part to keep our families, friends, and neighbors safe. To that end, we are closely monitoring developments, communicating with government and health officials and the Atlantic League, and heeding the advice found at www.coronavirus.gov. We’ve also empowered our staff to work remotely so as not to risk the health of our co-workers or their families through interactions in the office or the Shipley Energy Ticket Office (no worries, you can still buy online right here!).
So what does it all mean for our 2020 York Revolution season? The short answer is we don’t know…yet.
We are very confident that baseball will be back, not just in York, but throughout the country that made it a national pastime. That is something to which we can all look forward, and as soon as we know more, we will shout it from the ballpark’s rooftop.
But in the meantime, we will follow the doctors’ orders; look out for our employees, their families, and our fans; and make sure that when this crisis is averted PeoplesBank Park is ready to welcome you back for those two healing words – “play ball!”
