(January 13, 2017) – SportsRadio 1350 WOYK has made a Major League addition to its weekly lineup, creating “The Baltimore Baseball Show,” hosted by award-winning Baltimore Orioles and national baseball writer Dan Connolly. The premier episode will air Tuesday, January 24, at 6 p.m.
A partnership between WOYK and the popular BaltimoreBaseball.com, “The Baltimore Baseball Show” will bring fans the latest insights and analysis leading up to the start of the 2017 Major League season. Each week this preseason, Connolly will offer his take on the latest developments surrounding the Orioles, the American League East, and Major League Baseball in general. He’ll be joined by fellow writers and broadcasters via phone interviews and interact with fans on the program via Twitter.
Shows will be archived for on-demand access on both WOYK1350.com and BaltimoreBaseball.com.
Connolly is the senior writer and editor for BaltimoreBaseball.com and spent 25 years as a print journalist in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The Baltimore native now makes his home in York and first covered the Orioles as a beat writer for the York Daily Record in 2001 before becoming The Baltimore Sun’s national baseball writer and Orioles reporter in 2005. He has won multiple national and state awards, including several from the Associated Press Sports Editors. In 2013, he was named Maryland Co-Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. In 2015, he authored his first book, 100 Things Orioles Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die.
“I’m always looking for different ways to tell stories and share my passion for baseball with fans. Hosting ‘The Baltimore Baseball Show’ is a fantastic way for me to do those things,” Connolly said. “The fact that it’ll be broadcast in my adopted hometown and linked on my website and is being created by WOYK, with all of its tremendous history in York, just makes this the perfect fit.”

The half-hour program will air Tuesdays at 6 p.m., unless rescheduled to accommodate WOYK’s high school and college basketball playoff coverage and programs, schedules for which will be announced at a later date.
“The Baltimore Baseball Show” is the second such feature show added by WOYK this winter, joining the Penn State football program “BlaiseAlexander.com Keystone Kickoff,” presented locally by Neighborhood ShurShave.
