(October 15, 2026, York, PA) York Professional Baseball Club (YPB), operators of the York Revolution, and Forever Media have reached an agreement for YPB to acquire Forever Media’s York radio stations – WGTY, WYCR, and WHVR. The acquisition complements YPB’s ownership of WOYK, York’s first and oldest radio station, which the company has owned since 2014. Pending FCC approval, the transaction is expected to close near the end of the year.
WGTY (branded as Froggy 107.7), and WYCR (branded as Rocky 98.5), are the number one and two stations in the York market according to Nielsen ratings. WHVR, with both AM and FM broadcast frequencies, is branded as Happy 92.7 and serves the local Hanover market. No immediate changes to branding, format, or the personality of the stations are planned.

Shipley said that former York Revolution president Eric Menzer will lead the process of integrating the entities and building their future. Menzer continues to serve as Vice Chairman of YPB. Darrell Henry will remain the General Manager of WOYK, and Dave Davies will remain the General Manager of the three stations being acquired.
