(March 26) — The crowd-pleasing antics of the ZOOperstars! will return to PeoplesBank Park this season. The York Revolution today announced the fan favorites as the latest addition to this year’s promotional schedule. The family-friendly comedy group will perform between innings during the Revs’ August 4 game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

Featuring the likes of Donovan McCrabb, Squidney Crosby, Shark McGwire, Tim Tebull, Monkey Mantle, and Harry Canary, the ZOOperstars! characters will take to the field for dance routines and comedy sketches that team officials said embody the family-friendly fun of a Revolution game.

“Fans ask us all the time if the ZOOperstars! will be back, so it’s a thrill for us to be able to again say yes, we are bringing back these funny and talented performers,” said Revolution President Eric Menzer. “They are the type of fun that makes the Revolution experience unique and appealing to families and fans of all ages.”

Menzer added the ZOOperstars! will make an already big night at the ballpark even bigger. That same Saturday will feature a Health Fair and a Revolution visor giveaway, both presented by OSS Heatlh, as well as one of the season’s 12 post-game, inside-the-park fireworks displays.
