(October 30) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball Clubs today announced that a Player Dispersal Draft will be held for ALPB clubs to obtain the 2018 negotiating rights to players whose rights are currently controlled by the Bridgeport Bluefish.

The Dispersal Draft will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. Draft order is based on 2017 overall regular season win-loss record and is as follows:

1. New Britain (58-81)

2. Sugar Land (67-73)*

3. Southern Maryland (67-73)*

4. York (68-72)

5. Long Island (73-67)

6. Somerset (74-65)

7. Lancaster (76-64)

* Order determined by coin flip

The draft will consist of three rounds with a fourth pick optional. Results will be reported live via the Atlantic League’s Twitter account (@AtlanticLg) and on AtlanticLeague.com following the selection process. Any undrafted players will become free agents.
