(November 16, 2018) — While the calendar says it’s the season of doomed turkeys and endless carols, the York Revolution is already looking ahead to the 2018 baseball season and the defense of its Atlantic League Championship. Team officials announced today reasons they said area fans – and their wallets – will find more wins at PeoplesBank Park in the days and weeks ahead.
It starts with a special Black Friday event featuring hot chocolate, donuts from Maple Donuts, selfies with the Atlantic League Championship trophy, and a visit by the Revolution’s jolly old mascot, DownTowna Claus. At the heart of the kickoff, however, are holiday specials officials described as among the best deals ever offered at the ballpark.
“Knowing how much more valuable experiences are than the latest soon-forgotten gadget, we wanted to make it even easier for Yorkers to give the experience of Revolution games to friends and family,” said Director of Marketing and Communications Doug Eppler. “On Black Friday, we’ll be selling many of our Revolution ticket plans – which already save people lots of money versus buying individual tickets – for even less, saving people both money and another precious commodity usually lost at malls and outlets this time of year – their time.”
Speaking of time, the first 50 people to complete a transaction when the PeoplesBank Park Ticket Office opens at 7 a.m. will receive a free 2018 York Revolution calendar that celebrates the team’s spectacular 2017 championship season.
The Black Friday event will run until noon that day and also feature deals – some as large as 30% off – on themed ticket plans, ticket and food combinations, and gift cards, as well as coupons for 50% off in the First Capital Federal Credit Union Team Store, which has received an additional selection of 2017 Atlantic League Championship merchandise.
The team will follow that up with special offers for Small Business Saturday, Cyber Weekend, and the first three Saturdays of December, including deals on the popular Rookie Revs youth membership program and bundles pairing Revolution gift cards or ticket packs with gift cards from Revolution sponsors or passes to area attractions.
Eppler added the team is also planning a make-your-own ornament and caroling event for kids and families and that the Championship trophy will be on display and available for photos for all those stopping into the Ticket Office through the holiday sales events.
